NC Concealed Carry Handgun Course

This class is required by North Carolina to obtain the Concealed Carry Handgun Permit in order to legally carry a concealed handgun in public.

This class is comprised of eight hours of mandatory classroom training with additional time spent on the range for a shooting practical.

Making the decision to carry a concealed handgun is an important one, and getting the best education available is crucial. You and your family’s life may depend on the level of training you receive. When it comes to your family’s safety, a cut rate education will not suffice.

NOTE: There is a shooting evaluation in this course students must pass in order to receive their certificate, if you are a new shooter or maybe lacking in the skills to pass the qualification you may want to consider taking a one-on-one training session with one of our qualified instructors, or taking the Beginner Handgun Fundamental class.

One on One Private Training with an experienced Firearm Instructor will allow for a more personal and focused learning experience. There is no set class or curriculum, so we can focus on your specific needs as the student, with anything from firearms safety, shooting fundamentals, and performance to proper care and maintenance.
• All Training Courses can be taken as One on One Training sessions, at an additional One-on-One training rate.
• Scheduling a One-on-One Private Training session ahead of time, allows for a brief conversation to
help identify your particular area of need.
Topics can include but are not limited to:
• Speed and tactical reloading
• Carbine and rifle
• Shotgun 101
• Care and maintenance of your specific firearm
• Protecting your home
• Concealed carry preparedness
• Gear placement, and so much more!

BEGINNER Age 10+
Course: First Shots
This is an introduction to handguns designed for students with little to no previous shooting experience. The class consists of 2 hours of classroom training and 1 hour of range time for actual shooting. Students will learn the basics of handguns including:

Single Mom Saturday: (All equipment included).
If you have a child between nine (9) and seventeen (17) that you would like to bring with you to learn firearms safety at no additional cost, bring them along or bring in a photo of the two of you together to show.

If you have a group and would like to set up a private class, we can do groups as small as five, (smaller groups would fall under One on One classes.) you can come to us or
If you have a place you would prefer for the classroom portion we can come to you and meet at the range for the shooting. This also allows for a more personal setup depending on the needs of the group, this also allows for the group to see how each person thinks and helps to make it easier for the group to set up their own emergency plan later to fit their environment.

Age: 18+
The Beginner AR-15 Fundamentals course is designed for anyone wishing to learn more about the AR-15 platform. Whether you are a first time AR-15 owner or you have been training with them for years, this class is for you. In this class you will learn about the history of the AR-15, characteristics, nomenclature, disassembly, preventive maintenance, cleaning and inspection, sights, adjustments, optics and accessories. You are encouraged to bring your personal cleaning kit and note taking material. There will be a live-fire practical application in this course.

Shotgun 101
Age: 18+.
If a shotgun is your choice in home defense, you are in good company. Being such a potent firearm, it is critical to know how it performs, what power it can deliver, and how to deliver it effectively.
In this class students will be introduced to proper stance, handling, and proper manipulation techniques for the different common shotgun types. Students will also learn about pellet spread and patterning.
This class is a combination of classroom and live fire exercises. It is our sincere hope that you will leave this class with sound basic techniques and a greater appreciation for how versatile the shotgun can be and how to best tailor it for your personal home defense solution.

2 Days Monday- Tuesday 16hr.
North Carolina Private Protective Services Board requires successful completion of the 16-hour Basic Security Officer Training Course to perform the duties of a security officer in this state.
The standard instructional format is conducted over 2 consecutive days, but scheduling can be customized according to the needs of your company or group. During this time, we cover all seven training topics required by the NC PPSB with two optional subjects including, both administrative and legal aspects of working as a security officer in North Carolina. There is no pre-requisite for this course, and all training materials are provided in class.

Mandatory Requirements:
Current Unarmed Security Officer training completion prior to beginning Armed training -
Must be at least 21 years old –
United States citizen or resident alien –
No felony convictions or misdemeanors associated with violence (which includes domestic violence, drugs (use or sale), theft or fraud in the last 5 years.

Legal Limitations of Security Officer Power and Firearm Usage/Applicable Statutes, Handgun Safety, Handgun Operation and Maintenance, Handgun Fundamentals, Night Firing. ***NO EQUIPMENT IS PROVIDED, WE DO NOT PROVIDE GEAR.*** Duty gear is required in class no later than when you arrive Thursday morning. – (*RANGE EXPENSES ARE NOT INCLUDED SUCH AS...RANGE TIME, GUN RENTAL, TARGET and AMMO*). Handheld Flashlight - Duty Holster (Minimum Level Two) - Duty Belt - Magazine Pouches NO Level one holsters. NO IWB holsters. If using your own ammunition, bring a minimum of 250 up to a maximum of 600 rounds.) bring a minimum of 2 magazines.
